The privileged relationship with Setraco Nigeria continues to evolve. After the finalisation earlier this year of a small contract for the design of the Mbiana Bridge, Deal won the contract for the supply of special equipment and associated engineering services for the construction of Patani Bridge. The contract includes:
- detailed design, shop drawings, construction engineering and geometry control of the whole bridge consisting of a prefabricated segmental bridge with 85m spans;
- supply of two “short line” formwork with variable section;
- supply of a “balance cantilever” launching equipment, which was built by reassembling and retrofitting and existing launching equipment owned by parent company Rizzani de Eccher;
- supply of all materials and pre-compression equipment.
Deliveries, in several phases, shall begin in November 2010 for completion in spring 2011.
