Following the acquisition by a Rizzani de Eccher-led consortium of the project-financed contract for Brescia Hospital, a new special purpose vehicle FUTURA S.r.l was established specifically to secure, a week later, a 33-year concession contract with Brescia’s “Spedali Civili” healthcare corporation (which runs Italy’s largest hospital).
The Concession contract provides for design and build works valued at Euro 128 million as well as the provision of non-core hospital services and recurrent maintenance valued at Euro 17 million per annum.
The scope of works includes the construction of a hospital ward and a building designed to accommodate kitchens and canteens, as well as the reconstruction and renovation of existing wards of the hospitals of both Brescia and Montichiari. Rizzani de Eccher is to perform the majority of civil construction works (approx. 60% of the total value), while the technical equipment will be supplied and installed by A2A and ABP Nocivelli of Brescia.
