The new Piazza del Cinema on the Lido di Venezia designed by C+S Architects and realised by Sacaim - one of the Gruppo de Eccher’s companies - restores a unique space with a green park overlooking the sea.
A volume-zero architectural design that gives “humanity” to a square abandoned since long time. The square becomes for few days a year the runway for the Hollywood stars and a public space accessible to everyone for the rest of the year.
A large stone-made paving from Apicena, with a raised portion that allows the sea’s view and at the same time adds value to the surrounding historical buildings of the Casino and the Palazzo del Cinema.
The restoration of the historical garden, where secular old trees have been preserved and nowadays perfectly fit in the square renovation, creating a lasting and unique context.
